Position Overview
This role is to provide assistance to the processing team with processing loans and tasks.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides administrative assistance to the SVP, Residential Lending Manager and additional lending staff
- Maintain a file on individual Correspondent Lenders and update required documentation as needed and compile information needed to establish a new Correspondent Lender
- System administrator for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and VA portals
- Assembles and verifies closed loan documentation and forward entire closing package to loan operations for booking
- Handles all aspects of Construction Administration to include coordinating and communicating with the borrower, builder and inspector to facilitate draw requests
- Maintains pipeline report and production reports on an ongoing basis
- Assists in third party ordering, tracking and follow-up to include items such as Flood Determinations, 4506T, Title Insurance, Surveys and Appraisals and Property Insurance
- Compile and input HMDA data into the Loan/Application Register
- Monitors files in LOS system for disposition and requests withdrawn files from Lenders in a timely manner; Prepares and mails adverse action documents to applicants
- Assists in Secondary Market processing to include initial DU submission, upload loan package to investor and follow up with post-closing conditions for funding
- Cross-Train in Portfolio and Secondary Market mortgage file processing
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
- Recommend minimum of 2-3 years of mortgage industry experience, working in an office environment
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be comfortable in learning new computer systems and programs
- Strong working knowledge of Conventional, Jumbo, FHA and VA processing
- Efficient in time management and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Must be detailed oriented, work in a fast paced environment and adhere to deadlines
- Calyx software experience a plus
- Must comply with all regulations that apply within the scope of the position, including RESPA, TRID, OFAC and CIP
