Beginning Thursday May 29th, you will no longer see the Image and Pass Phrase when you login to Internet Banking. In the past, this has served as visual confirmation you are on the real Marine Bank website. We are replacing this with a widely used, secure technology called Extended Validation Certificates, or "EV".
In simple terms, EV means we have proven the identity, security, and legitimacy of our Internet Banking website. It is very easy to tell when a site uses EV: the address bar turns green.
EV works on a wide variety of Internet browsers including Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. See below for examples of what our EV will look like on different browsers. Notice "Fiserv Inc" is in green. Fiserv provides our secure Internet Banking service, so their name is on the EV certificate. This is your new confirmation you are on the real Marine Bank website.
The security of your account and personal information is our top priority. Our Internet Banking system remains a safe way to access your accounts. You will continue to use your same Access ID & Password. While you login, our system will attempt to recognize your device and its geographic location. If we do not recognize either of these, you may be asked one of your pre-established security questions.
